'Throughout these projects, I wanted to create designs that were unique and contained methods of construction not commonly used in furniture today. A method of suspension and hidden joints were used to create more seamless designs. Material analysis for the choice of rope , cushion material and construction of the chairs were carefully considered and tested with high regard to its function.'
The Contemporary Lounge Chair

This lounge chair offers a method of suspension between two sides of a frame, allowing a rocking motion within its confides. The chair is smoothly designed so that the height of the seat can be adjusted to fit to the user's liking, ensuring that there is enough space for the seat not to connect with the leg supports.

It encompasses many techniques which include:
- Sewing
- Wood / Metal Milling
- Drilling
- Bandsawing
- Power sanding
- Jigging
- Chiselling
- Knot testing

The flush and continuous appearance of its structure allow it to provide a contemporary and minimalist feel, taking into account not only the negative space below the chair, but also the shadows.

The Adaptable Dining Chair

This dining chair combines layers of plywood with Sapele and stainless steel to provide a durable and affordable dining chair, in which the cushion above is also able to be applied. Its reflective finish and soft colours allow the chair to fit into various environments, including the dining room and the lounge.

It features polypropylene caps at its base in order to ensure the chair in unable to scratch the surface of the flooring.

The rounded frame and back provide a comfortable surface on which the user can relax and rest while eating, drinking, or talking. The slanted nature of the chair provides a comfortable angle when leaning back or forward, taking anthropometric data from the 5th to 95th percentile to provide the user with the best experience.
